Third-party benchmark BuildingBench tested DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (the 1017 version) on 3D building reconstruction from real photos, and the open-source model jumped into the top five:
- 81.9 overall, up 9 points from the previous version's 72.9
- Slightly above Fable 5.1's 81.4 and essentially level with Sonnet 5.5's 82.1
- Estimated median cost: $3.01/task — about 1/11 of Fable 5.1's cost and 1/15 of Sonnet 5.5's
The testers call it exciting to see an open model deliver this level of spatial reasoning at such a low cost.
