Stdlib-only MCP server lets Claude check inbound USDT payments across four chains
Extreme_Plant_6322 · reddit · 2026-10-18
A Reddit developer released usdt-payment-check, a free MCP server built with Python stdlib only, letting freelancers paid in USDT ask Claude Desktop or Cursor whether an invoice has been paid — no paid APIs required.
- Two tools: validateaddress (format check before putting an address on an invoice) and checkusdtpayment (looks for inbound USDT on tron/bsc/ethereum/solana, with min amount and optional time filter)
- MIT-licensed on GitHub, with Claude Desktop/Cursor config JSON, a CLI smoke test, and a suggested prompt that validates first, reports status/tx hash, and never asks for private keys
- A $9 commercial freelancer skill pack exists, but the MCP itself stays free
