NPCTalk makes GTA V NPCs talk back in cloned voices in under 1s, fully open-source
Puzzleheaded-King584 · reddit · 2026-10-18
A developer packaged Claude-learned skills into an open-source repo, NPCTalk, that lets any game's NPCs converse in real time: in GTA V, every NPC responds in character with their own cloned voice in under 1 second and acts on what you say.
The stack is fully self-hosted on serverless GPUs using open models: NVIDIA Nemotron ASR for transcription, Qwen 3.8 27B for realtime dialogue, and Fish Audio Drama 3 for voice cloning.
