Anthropic launches Enterprise Frontier Safeguards keeping monitoring data on customer cloud
emmanuelvivier · x · 2026-10-18
Anthropic announced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), combining zero-data-retention privacy with misuse detection: monitoring data lives in customer-controlled cloud infrastructure rather than on Anthropic's side.
- Co-developed with 100+ customers across finance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecom, law, retail and the public sector, plus AWS, Google Cloud and Azure
- Phased rollout starting this fall; eligible customers get ZDR on Fable 5/5.1 in the interim
- Supported on Claude Code, Claude Enterprise, Claude Platform, Amazon Bedrock, Google's Agent Platform and Microsoft Foundry
Motivation: agentic capabilities of frontier models raise risks of fraud, sophisticated cyberattacks, autonomous misbehavior, and stolen enterprise credentials that are hard to detect without cross-session traffic monitoring.
