wavoice: open-source CLI connects WhatsApp voice calls to LiveKit agents in 90 seconds
yashubhakt · reddit · 2026-10-18
A developer released wavoice, an MIT-licensed open-source CLI that compresses the painful WhatsApp-to-LiveKit setup (enabling Meta Graph API calling flags, configuring webhooks, extracting SDP offers, wiring LiveKit's telephony connector) down to about 90 seconds.
It auto-discovers your WhatsApp phone number ID, enables voice calling on Meta, sets up webhooks with a Cloudflare tunnel for local testing, translates the WhatsApp SDP offer, and dispatches calls straight to your LiveKit agent room.
Two commands to test: uvx wavoice livekit setup for credentials, then uvx wavoice livekit dev --agent-name <name> --no-agent to start the bridge. Repo: amitbhakt/wavoice.
