vita-cv: open-source AI resume workflow with consistent step-by-step evaluation
Py_ABH · reddit · 2026-10-18
Developer ABDELLAH-Hallou open-sourced vita-cv (MIT), a CLI tool that treats resumes like source code — versioned with git, branched per company. It splits AI resume optimization into separate steps: job extraction, analysis, adaptation, review, and cover letter generation, with the review comparing original vs. adapted CVs against the same fixed criteria instead of shifting scoring rules mid-run. A companion local UI, vita-tree, runs these workflows independently across git branches.
