Researcher argues we may solve AI-human alignment before humans align with each other
3scorciav · x · 2026-10-18
On X, 3scorciav proposes a hypothesis: humanity may solve AI-human alignment earlier than human-human alignment. He cites chaitjo's observation that coding agents already plan and execute experiments more rigorously than a median ML researcher as supporting evidence.
He caveats that this excludes extreme scenarios: if AI became a genuine existential threat, human-human alignment would likely progress in response — much as humanity would unify against an alien invasion.
