Google AI Studio Build upgraded with Gemini 4 Argon and one-click Cloud Run deploys
clmt · x · 2026-10-18
Google AI Studio's Build mode got a major upgrade: go from a single prompt, sketch, or repo import to a live production web app in minutes.
- Agent architecture: Build mode now runs on the Antigravity agent harness with Gemini 4 Argon (91.9% on Vibe Code Bench, 1M unified context & 1M output). The agent holds full project state, coordinates multi-file edits across the stack, and verifies its own changes via execution instead of brittle one-shot codegen.
- True full-stack runtime: React frontend + Node.js backend with auto npm installs; GEMINIAPIKEY injected server-side and never exposed to the browser. One-prompt Firebase Firestore, Google Sign-In, real-time multiplayer, and Workspace OAuth.
- Visual iteration & GitHub sync: Annotation Mode lets you highlight any UI region for targeted edits; two-way GitHub sync with a built-in side-by-side diff resolver bridges AI Studio and Google Antigravity.
- One-click deploy: Publishing containerizes the app and ships to Google Cloud Run with secrets pre-wired. The Cloud Starter Tier allows publishing up to 2 full-stack apps with zero GCP/billing setup plus a custom .ai.studio subdomain.
