Concat: open-source Rust-based CapCut alternative with a JSON-RPC API for AI agents
techNmak · x · 2026-10-18
Concat is a free, open-source video editor built on a native Rust engine with GPU-accelerated rendering, positioned as a CapCut replacement that AI agents can actually control. It exposes a JSON-RPC API so scripts and agents can create projects, import footage, arrange clips, add titles, and export programmatically. Features include multi-track editing with keyframes, local Whisper-based auto captions, TTS and voice cloning, AI background removal, voice cleanup, and 4K 60FPS export. All AI models run locally with no uploads, subscriptions, watermarks, or accounts. Downloads top 158k on GitHub.
