DeepSeek V4.1-Flash-1017 outscores Claude Opus 5 on three agentic coding benchmarks

Blogger eyishazyer notes DeepSeek's new V4.1-Flash-1017 beats Claude Opus 5 on agentic coding: DeepSWE 77.0 vs 74.0, AutomationBench 60.5 vs 50.3, Apex Bench 72.1 vs 65.8. He stresses it's fair to caveat Opus 5 isn't Opus 5.5, and Opus still wins on harder reasoning tests (HLE, Terminal-Bench) — but getting this performance this cheap is significant for an open-weight Chinese model.
