Dev builds agent to verify 'zero deforestation' cocoa claims against satellite data
Initial_Orange2985 · reddit · 2026-10-18
A developer is prototyping an agent that checks corporate deforestation-free claims by reading CSR reports, GPS supplier plots, deforestation alerts, and NGO reports, then comparing against real forest-loss maps (using real data around Soubré, Côte d'Ivoire). It outputs proven/contradicted/unverifiable verdicts with citations and flip conditions, will be scored on 20 trap cases, and will be open-sourced after the hackathon.
