One prompt, one HTML file: Claude builds a realistic WebGPU ocean in ~40 minutes
AshKing02 · reddit · 2026-10-18
A Reddit user generated a strikingly realistic ocean scene with a single prompt asking for the most realistic WebGPU water with a floating camera. Claude Opus 5.5 produced FFT-simulated waves across three detail scales, a physically based sky, foam, and live controls for wind, swell and sun — all in a single HTML file.
It took about 30-40 minutes, but wasn't cheap: the session burned roughly 852k credits and 292k tokens.
