7 Claude prompts to simulate 'ADHD executive function mode' and beat task paralysis
ifioknkem · x · 2026-10-17
The idea is to use Claude as an 'external executive function brain' for users who struggle to start or sustain work. Examples: the 'Task Paralysis Shatterer' asks the model to break a task into steps under 1 minute each and say exactly where to put your hands first; the 'Executive Function Externalizer' has you dump all open loops, then Claude sorts them into Now / Later / Trash and writes one actionable next step for each Now item. Others include a 'Dopamine Menu' (5-min appetizers, 20-min entrees, 10-min sides), a 3-minute 'mental palate cleanser' for context switching, and a virtual body-double that checks in every 10 minutes to anchor focus.
