Fully playable Unreal space game built with Claude writing all C++ and shaders
razewerz · reddit · 2026-10-17
A developer is building a photorealistic space exploration game inspired by Outer Wilds using Claude Opus 5.5 in Unreal Engine. Claude wrote all the C++, shaders, and the planet-generation tooling, while the author gives direction, playtests builds on Windows, and reports what feels wrong. Still early, but the result is already fully playable, with screenshots showing planets and terrain, and the repo 'ephemera' is public on GitHub.
