Internship diary: feeding meeting transcripts to Claude to act as his mentor
beglen · x · 2026-10-17
Ethan Teague shares how his placement-year internship flipped his relationship with AI: university assignments banned or discouraged it, while his workplace assumed AI was used for everything.
The surprise: he needed far less coaching than expected. His mentor David laid the foundation, and Teague then fed the meeting transcript to Claude, prompting it to act as David and comb through the rest of the task for similar or additional errors—dramatically reducing the mentor's time cost.
The piece is a useful case study of how junior employees can scale scarce expert mentorship by pairing one live session with AI role-play on the transcript.
