Claude's new 'one Claude' UI drops conversation branching, users want it back
Balance- · reddit · 2026-10-17
After Anthropic unified the Claude web interface into "one Claude," the well-liked conversation branching feature was removed — the official support page's "Current limitations" section explicitly states branching a conversation from an earlier point isn't available. The Reddit poster calls branching one of Claude's best features and wants it restored. The same screenshot lists other new limitations: no Add from GitHub, incognito chats falling back to the old experience without file creation or code execution, search excluding older Cowork tasks, and Dispatch unavailable to new users.
