DeepSeek released V4.1-Flash-1017. On the official comparison table it scores 77.0 on DeepSWE v1.1 — up from 74.2 and above Claude Opus 5 (74.0) and GPT 5.6-Sol (73.0) — plus 42.3 on Terminal-Bench 4.0, leading Kimi K3 and GLM 5.3 on multiple benchmarks.
Key points: overall capability up while task runtime and output length shrank (lower cost per task); it can now build entire projects from scratch with minimal prompting and no human intervention, similar to one-prompt game/video demos; and DeepSeek opened its in-house search API — Search and Fetch endpoints at ¥5 per 1,000 calls, backed by a 100B+ page index, multilingual, filtering SEO spam and low-quality AIGC. Free during launch, metered from Nov 1, 2026. Commenter 归藏 notes it's especially strong on Chinese-language search and worth plugging into your agent harness.
