Procedural meta-human in Three.js adds skin oiliness, sweating and finer hair control
jasonkneen · x · 2026-10-17
Developer Jason Kneen shares progress on his procedural meta-human built in Three.js: the system can now adapt skin variations, oiliness and sweating, plus finer hair control. Renders show highly realistic faces and full-body models with visible pores, oily sheen and freckles.
The approach is parameter-driven rather than generative, enabling real-time control of avatar appearance for virtual humans and games.
