ComfyUI MOSS-GGUF already supports FP16 — a one-line fix speeds up older Turing GPUs
fjgcudzwspaper-6312 · reddit · 2026-10-17
A Reddit user found that the ComfyUI-MOSS-GGUF node has built-in FP16 support in runtime.py — it was simply omitted from the UI dropdown, forcing older Turing-architecture GPUs (RTX 20xx) to emulate BF16 or run slow FP32.
The 10-second fix:
- Open ComfyUI/customnodes/ComfyUI-MOSS-GGUF/init.py
- Find the computeprecision line (around line 27)
- Add "fp16" to the options list
- Restart ComfyUI and select fp16 in the node
Turing GPUs lack native BF16 hardware acceleration, so this tiny change unlocks much faster MOSS-Image GGUF generation on older cards.
