A developer open-sourced Rowkery, a Mac GUI for Postgres/SQLite with a built-in MCP server designed to safely point agents at production. Guardrails: scoped expiring access; read-only single SELECTs capped at 1,000 rows and 10 seconds; masked columns with query-plan checks that block inference via filters like LIKE 'a%'; writes only as dry-run proposals requiring manual Commit; full activity logging. Safety checks are unit-tested pure Rust functions on rmcp; Apache-2.0, alpha.
