Anthropic pitched its own AI safety bill to Congress; Polymarket odds say 6%
Polymarket · x · 2026-10-17
According to a scoop, Anthropic has been quietly pitching its own AI safety legislation to members of Congress — a vendor asking to regulate itself. Meanwhile, Polymarket prices the chance of a US AI safety bill enacted by end of 2026 at only 6-9%, and 43% by mid-2027.
Polymarket's rules require provisions like release review, training restrictions, usage limits, or human-in-the-loop mandates; voluntary model submission alone doesn't count.
