Companies can't measure AI ROI because they don't even track what employees use it for
annetgriffin · x · 2026-10-17
Annet Griffin argues one of the biggest issues with enterprise AI adoption today is that most companies have nothing in place at scale to account for what activities people use AI for and how much ROI each activity generates—many don't even ask employees what they do with AI.
Her point: you can't say something has positive ROI if you don't know what "something" is, when it happens, why it happens, or what would have happened without AI. A useful framing for execs struggling to measure AI's payoff.
