Sentry CEO on agent orchestration: let child agents expose their filesystem to parents
zeeg · x · 2026-10-17
Sentry CEO David Cramer and thdxr discuss a painful agent-orchestration design problem: when a parent agent needs to inspect a child agent's work, either the child pushes to GitHub and the parent clones, or the parent asks piecemeal questions — both wildly inefficient. He argues the only non-terrible universal solution is letting child agents expose their filesystem to the parent. zeeg adds that multimodal return messages (e.g. child-generated images) make it messier, but the whole can of worms is avoidable.
