Indie dev's months-long game cloned 1:1 with generative AI and listed on Steam

Indie developer @nixkatv shared that a game she worked on for months was replicated on Steam using generative AI — matching her art style and even the exact name, with a screenshot showing the original and AI copy of "Fish with Friends" side by side in search results. She says she doesn't know if she can keep making games.
The post sparked a debate between @AIandDesign and @EZE3D over what actually counts as "shovelware": is a game dismissible just because AI was used, or only when it's genuinely low-effort? EZE3D argues AI games have a bad reputation because 99% of one-shots are obvious slop, while others floated raising game submission fees as a way to fight the flood of AI-generated titles.
