opencode bug: agent keeps stale model identity after mid-session model switch
bluelovers · ghdev · 2026-10-17
A confirmed opencode (v2.0.29) bug: the Your Model block in the system prompt is injected only at session init and not refreshed on model switch, so the agent keeps reporting its initial model name. Verified live—after switching to opencode-go/hy3, the agent still claimed to be mimo-v2.6-flash-free. Root cause: system-prompt injection is the only agent-visible identity source, and env vars expose no MODEL/PROVIDER. Full repro steps in the issue.
