Mindbeam Launches Litespark Nemotron, Open-Weights Model for CUDA Kernel Generation
NVIDIAAI · x · 2026-10-17
NVIDIA shared Mindbeam's follow-up announcement: as demand for optimizing low-level systems and kernel designs grows, frontier open-source models now write CUDA routinely. Mindbeam poses the engineering question: can a model read a PyTorch module and write a raw CUDA kernel computing the same forward pass within a fixed numerical tolerance, remaining architecture-agnostic?
To address it, Mindbeam and NVIDIA launched Litespark Nemotron 3.5 Super VL, an open-weights model post-trained from Nemotron 3.5 Super VL 120B-A12B that excels at CUDA code across KernelBench levels.
