OpenAI launches free AI for Educators course and a classroom pattern using Study Mode

OpenAI launched its AI for Educators course in Brazilian Portuguese on OpenAI Academy on October 15, free for primary, secondary, and higher-ed teachers, covering lesson planning, activities, assessments, and communications while keeping pedagogical judgment with the teacher.
The post highlights a practical classroom pattern built on ChatGPT's Study Mode: students explore a topic (evaporation in the example) through questions, hints, and comprehension checks, then close the tool and write their own explanation plus a discussion question from memory. Teachers use those written responses to identify what needs reteaching. Author suggests trying it on one lesson this week.
