Ruff developer Charlie Marsh reposts a Stanford GSB notice: after a sudden cutoff caused confusion, OpenAI temporarily restored Stanford's ChatGPT Edu Pro usage limits to their pre-September 29 levels.
Key details:
- The restored limits took effect Wednesday evening and will remain in place through December 31, 2026;
- Users should check allowance and reset times under Settings → Usage, re-login if not reflected, or file a support ticket with usage screenshots;
- Stanford thanked users for feedback and said it worked with OpenAI on the issue.
A rare public instance of a large institutional customer getting OpenAI to roll back usage-limit cuts — relevant for education and enterprise users tracking quota changes.
