Figma's Chrome Extension Now Captures Live Website Code; 25,000+ Paid Seats

One of the world's biggest tech companies expanded its Figma deal to 25,000+ paid seats with AI credits this year — engineers now hold more of those seats than designers. Figma's new Chrome extension targets exactly this user: open any live site, click Capture code, and paste a working, clickable copy of the page into a Figma file where you can keep prompting changes — no codebase, no terminal.
Use cases include an engineer prototyping a new checkout flow on top of the real page, or a founder previewing the pricing page with one tier cut before any ticket is written. The author argues the pricing behind the extension is cleverer than the demo itself.
