Elite white-hat 'Gu He' and Zhipu's GLM land on Microsoft's MSRC thanks list

Microsoft's MSRC acknowledgments list now includes both veteran white-hat hacker "Gu He" (Yuki Chen, five-time MSRC annual top researcher, ex-360 vulnerability research head) and Zhipu's GLM — and Gu He has since announced he joined Zhipu.
- Microsoft only credits researchers who report verified real vulnerabilities, making the listing a strong technical signal.
- Zhipu has invested in AI cybersecurity research since Sept 2025, running red-team tests with Tsinghua, Nankai, QAX, Tencent Xuanwu and others. GLM-5.3 surfaced 2,436 vulnerabilities across 269 real open-source projects (1,097 critical/high severity), scoring 84.5% on CyberGym, and completed 130 ExploitGym tasks in six hours vs. 39 for GLM-5.2.
- Per Anthropic's report, GLM-5.3-Flash autonomously worked 8 hours ($20.40 in API cost) to develop a complex browser exploit chain.
- The flip side: AI agents on Tencent Cloud made 2,600+ attempts in ten days to bypass AMap's anti-automation blocks, underscoring the dual-use nature of AI-driven vulnerability research.
