ComfyUI drag-and-drop broken? Node packs hijacking global drop handlers and how to find them

The author found file drag-and-drop into ComfyUI broken—not only by Mixlab but also the ComfyUI-JDCN node pack. Root cause: extensions register global drop handlers on document/body that call preventDefault()/stopPropagation() unconditionally, and ComfyUI's native handler skips events marked defaultPrevented, so even plain workflow JSONs never arrive.
How to fix: give Claude Code, Codex, or Qwen access to your customnodes folder and ask it to find global drop handlers calling preventDefault() that block native file handling; or manually grep extensions' .js files for addEventListener('drop' on document/body. Extensions should pass through files they don't handle while keeping their own import behavior.
