FrankenSim builds a physics-based virtual orchestra, piano and drum demos live
doodlestein · x · 2026-10-16
FrankenSim is a research program building virtual instruments from measured geometry, materials, and the player's body — modeling the full physical chain from string vibration to air, not sampling. Piano and drum demos are live; the author plans to cover every instrument down to duduk and Irish tin whistle, with the same physics library serving structural acoustics, airflow and contact research. An interactive research atlas with module-level acceptance criteria is on the site.
