Alibaba open-sources CommerceGen-Studio for commercial-grade e-commerce images

Alibaba's AI-Native Applications Group released CommerceGen-Studio, an end-to-end framework for generating commercial-grade main images for e-commerce SKUs. The three-stage pipeline combines PERL-Agent (iterative metadata distillation into selling-point texts), Layout Thinker Optimization, and SKU-DiT — a diffusion model trained via Reinforce-Distill-Reinforce to preserve subject fidelity, trademark integrity, and text accuracy. CommerceGen-Bench is available on Hugging Face and ModelScope; paper on arXiv (Oct 14, 2026).
