Prediction: No New Jobs for Humans by 2028, Everyone Unemployed by 2030
davidpattersonx · x · 2026-10-16
The author lays out an aggressive timeline: over the next two years SI (superintelligence) will rapidly surpass humans at everything, and by the end of 2028 there will be no new jobs for humans. People will keep working, but once they lose a job they won't find another—SI replaces all roles within two years, and everyone is unemployed by the end of 2030, making 2029–2030 the "jobpocalypse." As a comparison, he notes phone support today is inconsistent: human support won't get better, but SI will.
