Tech speaker's field notes: even Bay Area audiences aren't as AI-enabled as assumed
marilynika · x · 2026-10-16
Wrapping her conference-season talks, the author shares observations from running AI workshops for founders, product teams, enterprises and students: audiences are less AI-enabled than assumed (even in the Bay Area); setup-averse users are being unlocked by zero-config tools like Muse and Grok; traditional companies are finally shifting away from "we've always done it this way"; and AI anxiety isn't going away — her advice is to experiment rather than sit idle.
