IMI launches as a think tank that turns complex policy issues into video games and simulators

After a year of building, IMI Policy has launched as a new think tank that goes beyond research papers: it builds video games, simulations and interactive experiences to communicate complex policy issues.
Showcased projects include Mobility Mayor, where you play a DC mayor setting AV permit caps, taxes and wait-time parity rules with live outcomes (wait times, fares, revenue, spatial equity), plus pixel-art city games about snow plowing and bike lanes and a delivery-rider simulator — a novel sandbox approach to policy communication.
