Per The Register, BofA CEO Brian Moynihan said the bank hired 1,000 extra contractors in Q2 to patch vulnerabilities discovered by Anthropic's Mythos model, with remediation costs of "a couple hundred million plus" including this week's AML orders. He expects AI projects to deliver $250-300M in benefits in 2026, rising to $700M by end-2027. The bank also cut 3,000 roles, including a 5% drop in managers, without specifying AI's role.
