ChatGPT's quality slips: broken extension and endless Computer Use permission prompts
sytelus · x · 2026-10-16
Developer sytelus complains that ChatGPT has become extremely buggy: the browser extension no longer works, and using it from a work computer triggers endless permission prompts. A screenshot shows the Computer Use feature repeatedly asking "Allow ChatGPT to use Google Chrome?" even after granting access. He questions whether anyone inside OpenAI is actually using the product and noticing these issues.
