VOYGR launches PlaceCall on YC: an API that lets AI agents phone US businesses
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-16
VOYGR launched PlaceCall on YC's Launch YC with the pitch "the phone is the last API": give it phone numbers and a task in plain English, and it finds businesses, calls them in parallel, navigates IVRs and hold queues, then returns a structured outcome plus transcript and recording.
- Founders Vlad and Yarik previously worked on Google Maps/Search; they built it because key business info (holiday hours, walk-ins, stock) often only lives with whoever picks up the phone.
- Demo: 15 sushi/Thai restaurants called in parallel, 2 confirmed open for walk-ins — one was marked closed on Google Maps.
- Developer-facing API; first 250 calls free.
