Report: Scale AI's Outlier harvests biometric and financial data of EU workers
marigo · x · 2026-10-16
DiPLab's new report "Surveillance at Scale" examines Outlier, the AI data-work platform run by Scale AI: it allegedly collects workers' personal data, financial records, biometric information and facial recognition scans, and uses hidden trackers for large-scale harvesting, likely for surveillance and further AI training. Based on interviews, network logs and platform guidelines, the report argues this likely violates GDPR.
