Dev Builds Haunted Escape Room to Test Reflection AI's Beam, Solves It in 30 Seconds
wandb · x · 2026-10-16
@TheCodingSoup stress-tested Reflection AI's coding model Beam with a 'Code Your Way Out' escape-room game: one room, three linked puzzles (repair a brass orrery, route light, then program an escape through a sealed hatch). Beam never sees the room—it gets text observations each turn, writes Python that runs in a CoreWeave Sandbox, and a game engine validates every action. Beam escaped in about 30 seconds; the developer is bullish on the model.
