Claude Code bug: permission prompt now defaults to 'Always allow' instead of 'Allow once'
rgolding · ghdev · 2026-10-15
A Claude Code Desktop bug report flags a dangerous UX regression in v2.37337.1: the permission prompt's primary button is now 'Always allow' (Shift+Cmd+Enter) while 'Allow once' is hidden behind a dropdown. Muscle-memory approvals silently grant permanent permissions — risky for DB and external commands. Similar issues #48550 and #48409 were auto-closed as stale without a fix.
