Robotics data tokenization landscape: Khala maps peaq, THOR, BitRobot and Axis
0xSammy · x · 2026-10-16
A Khala Research report argues high-quality human demonstrations will become invaluable as robots learn everyday tasks, and decentralized crypto incentives could coordinate global data contributors.
The report compares four projects: peaq (Layer-1 rails for machine identity and robotics financing, value via gas/staking, not data), THOR (buyer-specified robot data collection via Bittensor subnet incentives, existing token value flow), BitRobot (teleoperation and egocentric capture subnets, token upcoming), and Axis (simulation demonstration data from browser tasks, proposed $AXIS on Base, still unproven commercially).
Bottom line per the report: peaq builds the rails, while THOR, BitRobot and Axis build markets that pay contributors for the data itself — value flowing bottom-up.
