Kye Gomez: collective intelligence, not scaling single models, is AI's endgame
KyeGomezB · x · 2026-10-16
Kye Gomez argues collective intelligence is the most important scientific problem today. Individual LLMs are capped by sequential token generation, finite context windows, and single-model inference bottlenecks. Coordinating multiple models unlocks a new scaling dimension: parallelizing actions, tool use and reasoning; distributing problems across specialized agents exploring hypotheses simultaneously; expanding effective context via shared context pools; and letting models specialize, challenge each other's assumptions and independently verify results. He calls collective intelligence the final frontier of AI research.
