MacBooks struggle with parallel AI agents as fseventsd spirals after days of uptime
fforres · x · 2026-10-16
Developer fforres reports that MacBooks are "crappy for multi/parallel agent work": macOS's fseventsd daemon goes wild after a few days, and periodically killing it feels dumb. He's asking whether anyone has tried a dedicated volume for agent workspaces with fseventsd disabled there, short of moving to Linux — a real pain point of running many concurrent agents on macOS.
