iOS 'dots' workflow: one Siri command turns screenshots into a background shopping and saving agent
nickbaumann_ · x · 2026-10-16
Developer pritopian built 'appshots' for iOS using dots plus Shortcuts: say 'Hey Siri, run dots' and Siri takes a screenshot and hands it to dots, which in the background identifies shoes from a reel, signs you up for a gym class from an ad, orders a book mentioned in a podcast, and saves videos referenced in X posts.
dots reads screenshots and voice notes and uses its own browser to look up YouTube videos and X posts, with workarounds for walled apps like Instagram. nickbaumann called it 'appshots to your dots in iOS.'
