Gemini CLI fixes hook migration by matching Claude Code's SubagentStop event name
priyanshu1976 · ghdev · 2026-10-15
A P2 fix in google-gemini/gemini-cli corrects Claude Code hooks migration: the EVENTMAPPING key SubAgentStop is renamed to SubagentStop, the name Claude Code actually emits.
Since Stop and SubagentStop both map to AfterAgent, migrated definitions previously overwrote each other; they're now appended, with a test verifying both hooks land under AfterAgent. A small but telling sign that gemini-cli is taking Claude Code compatibility seriously.
