steren · x · 2026-10-16
Vercel has announced the general availability of Python support after ten months of work.
- Framework auto-detection and deployment config for FastAPI, Flask, Django and more, running on CPython with existing libraries
- Apps run on Fluid Compute with Active CPU pricing, handling concurrent requests and scaling with traffic
- Idiomatic Python SDKs (type annotations, async/await, context managers) for storage, queues, durable workflows, and AI models
- A unified workflow for Python backends and JS frontends: local dev, preview deployments, releases, and rollbacks together
