Anthropic and Gray Swan launch $300,000 indirect prompt injection red-teaming contest

Anthropic's Boris Cherny announced a partnership with Gray Swan on the largest and most realistic AI red-teaming challenge to date: an Indirect Prompt Injection competition with a $300,000 prize pool, sponsored by Anthropic, Meta, Google DeepMind, Reflection AI, and other frontier labs. Cherny notes prompt injection defenses for Claude have improved significantly, but as agents take on more work, solving it industry-wide is increasingly urgent.
