Inception teases its biggest model yet after Mercury 2 makes TIME's Best Inventions

Inception Labs' Stefano Ermon announced that Mercury 2, a diffusion LLM, was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2026. He notes diffusion LLMs went from research idea to powering everyday products, and teased that Inception's "largest and most capable model" lands next week, with early access open for speed-sensitive builders. Mercury is deployed via Inception API, AWS Bedrock, and Azure Foundry with enterprise controls and no training on customer data.
